Dear Comrades,
A Great Victory of AIGDSU
Expeditious Implementation of GDS Committee Report
Red Salute to all GDS comrades.
Dear Comrades,
The seven day long historic indefinite strike by the AIGDSU registered strong protest against inordinate delay in implementation of GDS Committee Report. The strike has showed the unity of GDS, against all odds . The indefinite strike by us has inspired all postal employees to adopt the path of struggles. This remarkable percentage of strike compelled the department as well as Government of India to come for negotiations several times during strike with our leaders. The AIGDSU conducted indefinite strike with courage and of vigour. The strike has been called off after written acceptance of the Department for an early implementation of GDS Committee report.
There are rumours about curtailment in some of recommendations of the GDS Committee. If there are any curtailment found after receiving the approval of finance Ministry, the Department would consider with mutual consultation.
ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE INDEFINITE STRIKE
1) The issues relating to implementation of recommendations of GDS Committee is under active consideration of the Department and are being taken up at the highest level with Ministry of Finance.
2) The recommendations will be implemented as soon as possible, following the due procedure, without any delay after receiving the approval of Finance Ministry.
3) In case of any disagreement, the Department of posts would consider issues sympathetically with mutual consultation (With our union).
