Sri.P.Srinivasa Reddy Hon'ble MP (Lok Sabha), Telangana State forwarded the NUGDS grievance to Communication Ministry
Sri.P.Srinivasa Reddy Hon'ble MP (Lok Sabha), Telangana State forwarded the NUGDS grievance to Communication Ministry.
NUGDS Telangana Circle Union with a delegation of Sri.I.Vasantha Rao CS, Sri.CH.Koteswara Rao Circle Treasurer, Sri.K.Nageswara Rao Div.President, Sri.V.Srinivasa Rao Div.Treasurer, Sri.V.Rajendra Prasad , Sri.N.Seshaiah and Sri.B.Veeranna DS NAPE Gr-C Khammam Division met Hon'ble MP Sri.Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy at Khammam on 22.07.2018 and submitted a detailed memorandum regarding Civil Servant Status to GDS.
Delegation also explained the anomalies in the implementation of Kamalesh Chandra Committee Report and submitted details of all positive recommendations of Committee Report and unfavourable orders issued by Department of Posts.
He responded positively and immediately forwarded NUGDS Memorandum to Sri.Manoj Sinhaji Hon'ble Communication Minister for his intervention for granting Civil Servant Status to GDS.
He also assured the delegation that he will raise the questionier in this Parliament Session in Zero Hour.

Respected Sir,
On behalf of 2.76 lakhs Gramin Dak Sevaks in the Department of Posts, we submit the memorandum for your kind consideration and favourable action.
The Government of India constituted One Man Committee under the Chairmanship of Sri. Kamalesh Chandra, Retired Postal Board Member to examine the wage structure and service conditions of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) in November, 2015.
The Committee submitted a report to the Department of Posts in November 2016.
The Union Cabinet has approved the report on 06.06.2018. The major recommendations of the committee were overlooked and neglected by Union Cabinet and the Department of Posts. The committee has been wrongfully manipulated and amended. This manipulation and unjustified amendment of the report of the committee has been given the serious detriment of the GDS employees and has put them to a cumulative loss of lakhs of rupees.
You are humbly requested to take up these issues in the parliament by using your good offices.
We are submitting the following for your ready reference.

AIPEU GDS :: INDEFINITE STRIKE FROM 22nd MAY 2018
Dear Comrades,
The 3rd All India Conference of AIPEU GDS held at Allahabad (UP) on 16th & 17th March 2018 made a detailed and elaborated discussion on the GDS Committee implementation and Membership Verification process in GDS cadre.
After discussing and analyzing the situation on the implementation of the Recommendations of Kamalesh Chandra Committee, if at all the Committee recommendations would not be implemented by the end of April 2018, AIPEU GDS will go on indefinite strike at any date during the month of May 2018.
In protest of the inordinate delay, to express our resentment, AIPEU GDS conducted 3 days relay hunger fast in front of all offices of Chief Post Masters General on 17,18 & 19th of April and one day hunger fast in front of Dak Bhawan by all General Secretaries of NFPE & CHQ office bearers and Circle Secretaries of AIPEU GDS in Delhi.
Now, AIPEU GDS CHQ decided to go for indefinite strike from 22nd May 2018.
Strike notice served to the Department on 04-05-2018.
The NFPE is mobilizing all its affiliated Unions & cadres to participate in the ensuing indefinite strike call of AIPEU GDS. NFPE will take lead of our indefinite strike by taking an appropriate decision very soon (because of time constrains).
In response to the call of AIPEU GDS;
The Kerala Circle Coordination Committee of NFPE unions has decided unanimously to participate in the ensuing strike in their 38th Joint biennial Circle Conference held in Tirur from 3rd to 5th May 2018.
The Tamil Nadu Circle Coordination Committee of NFPE today (07-05-2018) served strike notice to the Chief Post Master General, Tamil Nadu.
The West Bengal Circle served strike notice to the Chief Post Master General, WB Circle today (07-05-2018)
It is informed that Andhra Pradesh Circle is going to submit strike notice tomorrow (08-05-2018) to the Chief Post Master General, AP Circle.
Odisha Circle, AIPEU GDS submitted strike notice to the Chief Post Master General, Odisha today (07-05-2018) and the Circle Coordination Committee decision is going to be finalized soon.
Reports from the remaining circles are being persuaded by NFPE leaders to join the indefinite strike call of AIPEU GDS from 22nd May 2018.
All the CHQ office bearers, Circle Secretaries, Division / Branch Secretaries, Conveners, active comrades, well wishers are requested to make an effective campaign on the demands included in the strike notice.
1. Immediate implementation of all positive recommendations of Kamalesh Chandra Committee Report.
2. Immediate completion of membership verification process of Gramin Dak Sevak cadre under check-off system.
